The Scarlet Hotel

For me and my hubby's 9th wedding anniversary, we decided we wanted a bit of time to ourselves this year, not too far from home, but far enough, and that came in the festive and cool shape of The Scarlet, Mawgan Porth, Cornwall.
After checking in, we had a stroll on the beach, then off to the fireside for a warm mug of mulled cider whilst watching the moody skies and ocean outside.
Followed by a few glasses of Camel Valley sparkling Brut, also known as Cornish Champagne in The Retreat area of the Hotel.
then more drinks,
Then to our room for a hour or so to relax,
and a bath,
and to kick back in The Pod - a brilliant area just off our "Unique" room with fabulous sea views.
a Hot Tub, (though we didn't this time - but definitely next)
(View from beach to Hotel - red bath is one of the hot tubs fuelled by logs)
and a drink before Dinner in the Hotel restaurant, with an amazing separate Vegetarian menu - impressive.
It's fair to say, we did not want to leave.
Such a wonderful time with plans to return in 2012.
