Leopard Print Brogues

A bit of falling out of love then back in, a pinch of romance and a bucket full of sex...I must be writing a new book!
Well, trying to write a new book.
This is a little number I started writing last autumn and hope to start back working on in the spring. With so much happening at home I just haven't had the time, but the ideas and the half finished manuscript are living proof that the story is there, I just need to get it off the board and onto paper.

Working 9 til 5

Well, Spring is almost here and I'm feeling optimistic and inspired about the future after what has personally been a pretty traumatic 12 months, and to help me on my way back to the ordinary world I'm going back to work in 2 weeks and I can't wait.
When I say "work", I mean my paid job, the one I spent years training for! Anyway, I'm with a new Team for a fresh start and for the first time in a long time I have a tingle of excitement in my belly, I guess now I just have to get used to working 9 til 5 again!
Sending a big smile from lovely sunny Cornwall, England.

Donna Hay's 'Seasons'

Last summer on a trip to Truro with my hubby, we ended up in Waterstone's and stayed for a very long time. Amongst others, I indulged in this monster of a book with a fairly monster price.
Now I've liked Donna Hay for sometime (I even mentioned her in 'Hope & Jump' and how "Evie" and "Ellery" were mad about her). I have her 'Christmas' collection too, but this book got me in a big way, the visual inspiration of not just the food, but also the lifesyle (I am a sucker for this), made it worth what I paid.
So, once I'd drooled over the pages wishing I lived that life, I popped it onto my kitchen bookshelf and kind of forgot about it - until recently, and now it's on and off that shelf, rekindling not only the visual experience but a bit of cooking and creating as well.
I mean, who doesn't want to be doing this on the beach in summer or even winter?
And who doesn't want to be riding a bicycle through the spring meadows with a picnic basket on the front?
OK, maybe it is all just a little fantasy, but who cares, once in a while we should all beable to indulge in our own guilty pleasures, and this is one of mine.

Peter Pan Collars

I used to describe myself as liking feminine clothes, but not really being "girly", however, as I push closer to 40 I realise I actually do like being girly. I think life experience and children make it easier to accept what you really are, so I'm not going to deny it anymore, which is why I am in love with everything with a Peter Pan collar.
This dress is similar to one I have recently bought to return to work in a couple of weeks. I'm thinking Zooey Deschanel in New Girl with a little less of the kookiness!
It's good to be back.
Have a great day

Geek Dress

I don't know why I keep referring to this dress as 'geeky', because as I'm fairly geeky anyway surely it's no surpris...
